Terms of Service

SafeStories · Employee wellness platform

Last updated: 6 April 2026 · Privacy Policy

Summary: These terms govern your use of SafeStories as an employee or invited family member. SafeStories provides wellness support and is not a substitute for emergency services or clinical care. Your employer sponsors access but does not receive the content of your private sessions.

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using SafeStories ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who we are

SafeStories is operated for the benefit of participating organisations and their employees. Your access may be provided through your employer or another sponsoring organisation ("Sponsor"). The Sponsor pays for or arranges access; separate agreements between SafeStories and the Sponsor may apply to enterprise features and reporting.

3. What the Service provides

The Service may include booking and attending wellness sessions (for example via video providers such as Zoom), workshops, check-ins, assessments, educational resources, and related tools. Features can change over time. We aim to keep the Service reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

4. Not medical or emergency care

SafeStories is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis or may harm yourself or others, contact local emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately.

5. Your account

You must provide accurate information (including a valid work email where required) and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must not misuse the Service, attempt to access others' data, reverse engineer the platform, or use it unlawfully.

6. Privacy and what your employer may see

How we collect and use personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. In general, counselling and similar session content is treated as confidential and is not shared with your employer in identifiable form. Your Sponsor may receive aggregated or anonymised insights where contractually agreed.

7. Third-party services

Sessions or notifications may use third parties (for example Zoom or WhatsApp). Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms and privacy notices.

8. Intellectual property

Content, branding, and software that make up SafeStories are owned by SafeStories or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the Service for personal wellness purposes in line with these terms.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SafeStories and its suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited as permitted by law.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms where permitted by law.

11. Contact

For questions about these terms, contact your organisation's HR or wellbeing contact, or SafeStories support via the app (for example Settings → Help & Support).
